Edible Weeds, Dark Skies & Connecting People to Five Continents

The Narara Eco Living Network (NELN) connects people to sustainable living, eco-gardening, native wildlife and natural building — and shares the stories of a community putting it all into practice.
About the Network
NELN is the community network of the Narara Ecovillage, built on the former Gosford Horticultural Research Station. We host open days, workshops and events that welcome visitors to experience sustainable living first-hand.
Membership lets you attend open days for twelve months and unlocks discounts on special workshops and tours. Together we regenerate land, restore habitat and share practical knowledge with the wider region.

Our stories and events return again and again to a handful of themes at the heart of eco living.
Permaculture, biodynamics, edible weeds and growing food in tune with the seasons.
Citizen science, frog counts, swift parrot habitat and caring for the creatures we share the land with.
Earth bag studios, healthy homes and low-carbon construction using local materials.
Open days, workshops and a network of people learning to live more sustainably together.

I come from the school of gardening that prizes developing a taste for plants that want to grow without mollycoddling, rather than struggling to grow plants where they don’t want to be, just because I like the taste.
This 4th May I am excited to be opening the doors to my hobbit-style art studio for Sustainable House Day in Narara Ecovillage.
Donations fund habitat rehabilitation, citizen science, open days and the practical workshops that help more people live sustainably.
