Natural Building — A Long, Worthwhile Journey
By Linda Scott
This 4th May I am excited to be opening the doors to my hobbit-style art studio for Sustainable House Day in Narara Ecovillage.
From the initial decision to build an earth bag structure, the journey has been long but deeply worthwhile. The green roof — planted and webbed to hold the soil — has become a feature that blends the studio into the landscape.
Natural building rewards patience. Every wall rendered by hand, every salvaged window, carries the story of the people who built it. I cannot wait to share that story with visitors.
