I have worked for the world’s rainforests since 1979. Although many campaigns have been won and lost, the deeper work is the transformation of how we understand ourselves in relation to the living world.
Building an ecological identity means experiencing yourself as part of the web of life rather than apart from it. From that place, protecting nature is not a sacrifice — it is self-defence.
